Grand opening of Knox Community Hospital Health & Wellness Center in Centerburg, Ohio.
Centerburg, OH January 18th, 2023 – In Centerburg, Ohio, Knox Community Hospital (KCH) Health & Wellness Center held a ribbon cutting to commemorate its grand opening last Friday, January 13th, attended by more than 125 people. Located along the main corridor at 3595 Columbus Road, the state-of-the-art facility had been under construction since late 2021. As the community’s health and wellness needs continue to grow, the facility is well-positioned to accommodate these needs and was designed to allow for expansion in the future.
In preparation for the ribbon cutting ceremony, Knox County Chamber President Carol Grubaugh heard comments from a number of key people: CEO of Knox Community Hospital Bruce White, Board member Charlie Brenneman, Centerburg mayor Greg Sands, Knox County Commissioner Bill Pursel, and Hilliar Township trustee Gary Ross.
KCH staff provided tours of the facility, which officially opens on January 23rd, although Connections Fitness opened on January 17th.
Through capital funds allocated by the hospital and generous donations, such as $10,000 from the Equity ECS Foundation, a $9 million investment was made in the healthcare of Centerburg residents.
As Equity Construction Solutions CEO Steve Wathen said, “We are delighted to see this building project come to fruition. We are very happy to be a part of this effort to increase access to quality health care in Knox County for generations to come.”
