Joanne focuses on office and retail leasing and building sales. She uses her analytical, research, and communication skills to help investors and business owners navigate through commercial real estate transactions. Her experience includes real estate research, office & retail leasing, investment sales, land brokerage, commercial property management, and asset management and dispositions. Joanne has been a Texas licensed real estate broker since 1979 and a CCIM Designee since 1988. She also earned the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation and has a working knowledge of Spanish. Joanne is a 1978 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin where she earned a BBA with majors in both Real Estate and Finance.
Ms. Mirelez returned to her studies and earned a Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA) at Trinity University in San Antonio in 1998. After her Administrative Residency at Warm Springs Rehabilitation System, she spent a decade in the air and ground EMS and ambulance billing business involved with financial analysis and business development. She returned to CRE in 2007 as Marketing Director for Coldwell Banker Commercial and returned to brokerage in 2009 with Investment Realty Co. When IRC merged their brokerage operations in 2021, Equity invited Joanne to join the San Antonio Team.
Joanne is proud to be both a fourth-generation San Antonian, and a second-generation Realtor. Ms. Mirelez is a member of the South Texas/San Antonio CCIM Chapter, South Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (STCAR), Texas Association of Realtors (TAR), and National Association of Realtors (NAR). She is active in the Medical Real Estate (MRE) Group and is a Life Member of the Texas Exes Association.
During her free time, Joanne enjoys playing competitive tennis, stretching and strengthening at Pilates sessions, rooting for the San Antonio Spurs and Texas Longhorns, and traveling. She also enjoys shepherding and teaching school-age children in the Grace Point Kids program.
