Equity volunteer day in San Antonio

Last week, our San Antonio team partnered with Gary Ploetz, the brother to Equity’s San Antonio Market Leader Jim Ploetz, and his non profit organization Meating The Need. Our team spent 4 hours volunteering in a local food kitchen to feed the unhoused.

Meating the Need serves the needs of San Antonio’s homeless by providing high quality protein (meat) and other food staples to the St. Vincent de Paul dining facility (St. Vinnie’s) at the Prospects Courtyard at Haven for Hope. St. Vinnie’s is the primary source of food for the unhoused living on the streets in downtown San Antonio. The Board of Directors cover all administrative costs so every penny donated buys food.

Every year Equity allows vendors to sell merchandise in our San Antonio building lobby for a 10% donation to Meating The Need. This year, through their donations, we raised $6,031.10 in donations, a new record!
