Chicago, IL – May 24, 2021 – Equity, a national, full-service commercial real estate firm, continues to grow as it expands to Chicago, its newest location and second new market of 2021.
Equity provides complete, professional development, construction, brokerage, property management, and asset management services. The Chicago office is the firm’s 9th physical location, opening shortly after its Atlanta office in April 2021.
When Equity was founded in 1987, Chicago was on Equity’s Founder and CEO, Steve Wathen’s mind.
“I have always viewed Equity as a national company, and we’ve done transactions in 46 states,” Steve Wathen said. “Opening our 9th office in our 5th state is further progress towards our physical presence as a national player.”

The Chicago office will be led by Bob Palffy, who has over 35 years of commercial real estate experience in the Chicago market.
